#WaddleOn Review: September 2013

Hey guys! Chill here once again. Sorry for the insane lack of posts lately. I'm gonna try to make more posts from now on. Anyway, today it's time to review #WaddleOn's September episodes. This post will cover Episodes 9 and 11. Because Episode 10 was a special episode, and there's so much more I want to talk about, that will have its own post. Ready?
#WaddleOn: Episode 9
Oh no... NO... NOOOOO!!!! Not again! Episode 9 starts off with another earthlings skit. Greeeeat...
The penguin comes to a restaurant and the chef asks what she wants to eat. The penguin turns into an alien and says earthlings, and the chef turns into an alien too. Then they keep saying "oh no you didn't" and "oh yes I did" over and over. Blah. Nothing else to say.

Next up, a spider jester tells a joke: what food has cheese and flies. The answer is his pizza. The king is amused, and everyone cheers. The joke was okay, but this still wasn't a very good skit. However, did any of you guys notice something... off? The drummer in this skit has a lighter color of purple than normal. Could this be foreshadowing a new color to come soon?

#WaddleOn purple on left, in-game purple on right
The third skit shows a penguin giving another penguin a tour of their igloo. The penguin says something is different, and a yellow flash appears on their head and they say that's better. I do NOT understand this skit at all - is it a cultural reference? Hidden nod to something in Club Penguin's past? Help me out here!

In the last skit, a penguin's golden award is broken. The Blacksmith Force appears and attempts to fix it but fails. The Goldsmith Force then appears to fix it and successfully does so. The Blacksmith Force then comments on how the Goldsmith Force is awesome. This was the ONLY good skit out of them all.

Conclusion: This one could've been better. Luckily the introduction of Goldsmith Force and the secret purple color saved it - sort of.
#WaddleOn: Episode 10 - Find Your Voice
There's a lot I want to cover here, so you'll find the review for this episode at this link:

#WaddleOn: Episode 11
Back in Medieval times, a princess has somehow broken a box of popcorn. A blacksmith takes it and fixes it. The princess says that the blacksmith should get a bunch of blacksmiths and go around fixing stuff. A light bulb appears above the blacksmith's head and the Blacksmith Force logo appears - but then the blacksmith decides it would be too much work. I think this is a funny origin to the Blacksmith Force.
A princess asks her "chicken" how it's doing. The "chicken" replies that it's not a chicken, but that it was turned INTO a chicken by a magic spell. The princess ignores it and asks if the "chicken" wants some corn. The "chicken" gives up and accepts it. This skit was weird.

In the third skit, a dragon asks some penguins to take away all the ugly gold because it's blocking his view of the rocks. The penguins right away start shoveling the gold away. The dragon comments that it piles up fast and a dragon next to him agrees that it's ugly. I think this was sort of funny.

Two penguins in cages are talking and one asks if they have plans. The other penguin says no, and they decide to hang out. The penguins then say their goodbyes but can't go anywhere since they're both in cages. This was... interesting?

A wizard says that his hat is magic and can talk, and then the hat "talks". The apprentice doesn't believe him and the hat gets mad and leaves. This was a weird skit too.

In the final skit, an orange and a bunch of penguins with orange hoodies (the fruit not the color) are doing nice things for a penguin. Eventually the penguin asks why the orange is doing all these nice things, and the orange's helpers say that orange is good for him. This was kind of funny too.

Conclusion: It was better than Episode 9, which only had one good skit. Unfortunately it's still not very great...

Once again I'll rate the episodes from this month from best to worst: 11, 9

Chill is out, peace!
