A Brand New Dojo Courtyard

Hey guys! Chill here. Today I'll be talking about the revamp of the Dojo Courtyard. You all probably know the Dojo Courtyard - although the Dojo had been around since at least very early 2006, Card-Jitsu and the Dojo Courtyard never existed until November 2008. During the Halloween Party 2008, there was a huge storm, bigger than any other at the time and any that has ever happened since. It caused damage to the Dojo, in the process exposing the Dojo Courtyard. Sensei suddenly appeared, however at this point was known by no other name than ????.

Eventually it got dug out and we got to see the Dojo Courtyard for the first time ever, and what was under all that snow.
However these days it looks a little different.
Anyway, Ninja, a Club Penguin moderator, recently tweeted this screenshot of a revamped Dojo Courtyard.
As you can see, the ground and Puffle Statues have been changed to look a lot more ancient, and you can see a bridge to the Snow Dojo and the Water Dojo. The rest is blocked by Sensei. However, in Daffodaily5 and Polo Field's new Card-Jitsu video, you can see more clearly the remodel.
Here you can more clearly see the bridge to the Water Dojo. Also, the Ninja Hideout unfortunately appears to be removed.

What do you think of these changes? Love them? Hate them? Would you like more of a compromise? Are you sad about the Ninja Hideout's removal? Tell me in the comments!

Saraapril and Card-Jitsu Snow

Hey guys! Chill here. Today I'll be talking about a very popular Club Penguin blogger, Saraapril. A lot of you probably know her. She's famous for her very unique blog style - along with regular CP news, she also posts her own original stories, and occasionally what happens in her day-to-day life. She also usually posts a smiley face after her sentences. Lots of people tolerate this and like it (she wouldn't be popular if they didn't), but it bothers others to no end. Today I talk about... Saraapril.

Please note: This blog post is not meant to offend anyone! I tried to write this at as neutral of a standpoint as I could. If you are offended in any way by this, I apologize. Also, if you read this Saraapril, I'm sorry if I offended you somehow. Anyway, let the post commence.

So, since Card-Jitsu Snow has been announced Sara has covered it in several posts. Well, why not? There's been lots of news sooo... ANYWAY, down to business. She has very mixed emotions about the game at different times. Sometimes she praises the game for being the first Card-Jitsu game to involve teamwork, and other times she hates it because we fight villains now. The problem with that is, you can't really have one without the other. Card-Jitsu is about battling - if we have to team up, without villains it wouldn't really be a Card-Jitsu game.

"I think those Villains are the products of someone's imagination that LOVE WAR and FIGHTING! I remember when CP was about Friendship and FUN TOGETHER with Friends BUT those days are sadly almost GONE thanks to Disney and I wonder if they will ever come back? I think Card-Jitsu should keep being about Friendly Battling and learning to be a smart and skilled player and NOT about GANG FIGHTING!" -Saraapril, "Card-Jitsu Snow Villains!"

So if that's the case... then so are Herbert, Klutzy, Ultimate Protobot, The Test Bots, and Scorn. But she never complains about Herbert or Klutzy.

"Fire beats Ice...as they are made of snow we can probably melt them BUT as that would KILL them that's too CRUEL!" -Saraapril, "New Card-Jitsu Villain: Sly!"

Umm... Okay? She's double-standard with this one. If we take a trip to the future during the Marvel Superhero Takeover, you'll see that she orders all the villain robots to be recycled. Interesting that how during a party she doesn't like, the villains can be destroyed, but for a good game she spares them...

"I think it's AWESOME that we can help and heal Ninjas that are in trouble or down :)" -Saraapril, "Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test - On Now!"

Just throwing that out there to show that sometimes Saraapril hates the game sometimes, and loves the game sometimes.

"[I have lots of good memories about Ninjas] ...But the dark twist you are adding to the Ninja story now is nothing I looking forward to at all!" -Saraapril, "Ninja Training - Reviewed By You :)"

This just gets on my nerves. I don't see what's so terrible about Card-Jitsu Snow (or for that matter, the Marvel Superhero Takeover or Halloween Parties), and I think Sara could afford to be a little less sensitive on the matter. What do you think?

Marvel Superhero Takeover 2013 Review (2/2): Speculation vs. Truth

Hey guys! Chill here, for part 2 of the Marvel Superhero Takeover 2013 Review. Today I'll be showing you my speculations from my original post about the Marvel Superhero Takeover, and then comparing it to what actually happened!

"CP did confirm that Aunt Arctic will be at the party. But what about other mascots? Gary, Rookie, and Herbert could make good mascots. It would also be a good time for the debut of Dot and/or Jet Pack Guy, so who knows? Maybe we'll get to meet them in-game for the first time. Unfortunately, this didn't happen, and we didn't get to see any EPF-related people. (Well, Aunt Arctic is the Director but... you know how it is) Also, you guys have probably seen the robots attacking alongside The Mandarin. I think that we can either customize these and transform into them, or they'll be a replacement for the Destructobot somehow. (Destructobot was fought by the heroes last year, built by the Ultimate Protobot) Well, we didn't really get to customize them, or transform into them, but we were able to somewhat get into combat with them. But yeah, we built them, and you knew that already! I'm also hoping that the power gloves from last year will get their powers back, as they did last year. We might even get some new ones too. Honestly, the power gloves were some of the best features at last year's party. Well, the old gloves didn't retain their powers, but we DID get new ones! I would've liked cooler, different effects for each glove though... Also, I have a feeling that there will be a meteor crash, as Gary mentioned experimenting with draining power from rocks, which might be foreshadowing another meteor. Neeeeeeeope, just crystals. I'm glad they changed the storyline a bit though."

So... There it is! Should I do more of these for later parties? What do you think?

Marvel Superhero Takeover 2013 Review (1/2): Marvel Superhero Takeover In Review

Hey guys! Chill here. Today I'll be doing a review of the Marvel Superhero Takeover 2013. Enjoy!

Features

Well, I'll start off with the games. Super Hero Bounce was a winner in my book, it was challenging, but not TOO hard. I think they should've retextured it and put it in the unplugged arcade machine. Next off, Robot Factory was interesting, but it wasn't so great. I liked how they mixed it up by putting in unusable parts. A make-your-own custom robot would've been cool though.

Enough with the games though, let's talk about power gloves and robots. They were both SUPER awesome, and I liked the balance. Power gloves were indestructible but had limited energy. Robots were destructible but had unlimited energy. And if you got another dude mad, you'd end up with a robot snowball war!

Aunt Arctic was also a mascot, which was cool. In case you didn't know, I LOVE mascots.
Score: 9/10

Decorations

The decorations were awesome. Almost all of them were new decorations, some of the inside rooms were recycled, but the Hero Carrier, Villain HQ, and Hero Lab were nicely done. (Hero Carrier was a bit bland imo)

Also, I think it was a nice touch to add the hospital from Operation: Blackout.

Unfortunately, there was one flaw. You can access the Villain HQ from the Stage like last year, but due to the different design you can't get back up. It's like you came from nowhere!
Score: 10/10

Items

The items were nice, I didn't really care for most of the new Marvel costumes but Night Club was AWESOME. I LOVED the design and shading on it, it looks so cool.

The hoodies were nice too. The power gloves also looked a lot cooler than last year, because they were all unique, instead of just three recolors of the same thing.

Aunt Arctic's background was also pretty cool.
Score: 9/10

Music

The music was... meh. Most of it was recycled from last year's Marvel Superhero Takeover, which was okay I guess. Although I don't really understand why in the world they used the Downtown Showdown music for the Stage/Pizza Parlor. It just doesn't fit.

On another note, I really liked the hero theme. It's probably one of the best songs made so far this year.
Score: 7/10

Final Thoughts

I really liked this party, and they put in a lot more effort in than last year, instead of just recycling the rooms and slapping in some new costumes. Although the storyline was a little cheesy... Still awesome nonetheless.
Final Score: 10/10

But wait, that's not all! Stay tuned for part 2, "Speculation vs. Truth", where I compare the actual party to my speculations post.

Until then, waddle on!

Marvel Review Coming Soon

Hey guys, Chill here. Sorry for not posting lately, I just haven't had things to post about. But soon I'll be doing a two-part Marvel review. The first one will be a review like Operation: Hot Sauce had. The second will be a "Should Have Been" sort of post comparing my speculation post to the actual party. I hope you look forward to that!
