Bean Counters Review

Hey guys! Chill here. Sorry I haven't been posting as much lately. Today I'm going to be reviewing another classic game on CP, Bean Counters. Bean Counters is one of CP's oldest games and recently got a new look in March 2011 and with that a secret update... so let's go!
The game starts off very simple. Just move your penguin around with the mouse and catch the java bags, and unload them to the left.
Just make sure you don't carry more than five java bags at once, or you'll get crushed by the weight of all the coffee beans.
Eventually the delivery truck will start throwing things they're not supposed to, such as anvils...
...fish...
...and flowerpots. Trying to "catch" any of these will result in losing a life.
However, occasionally they will throw out 1-ups, which give you an extra life if you catch them.
However, this game also hides a secret - another game! Say hello to Jelly Bean Counters! Just click on the seam below the ripped spot on the bag as you see here, then click on the jelly beans that fall out.
There are three modes, Hard, Expert, and Extreme. Hard Mode starts off by giving you one color to catch. Pay attention to the meter, because you are only supposed to catch the color that is on it.
Catching the wrong bag and then putting it with the other bags results in the loss of 2 points. Of course, if you end up catching the wrong bag you can click next to the truck and throw it back.
This version of the game introduces a new item - the Candy Shield. Catching it will make you have a blue glow and you can take hits from any obstacles that land on you until time is up.
Speaking of obstacles, this game gives the obstacles a new look to fit the candy feel. They are the peppermint anvil, gummy fish, and lollipop vase.
Eventually the game starts throwing more colors at you in different arrangements, which allows for more of a challenge.

Anyway, that's Bean Counters and Jelly Bean Counters. I really like these games. They're fun to play and see how far you can get. Jelly Bean Counters adds an extra challenge to the game which is really fun, and it's not just a recolored version of Bean Counters.

On a side note, this is the last game review I'm doing like this. Going over the entire game while posting an overload of pictures, and then writing a paragraph of what I think about it. From now on it will be mostly reviewing and a lot less pictures. This is partly the reason why they take so long, so hopefully we'll get back to posting daily.

Do you like Bean Counters? How about Jelly Bean Counters?

Chill is out, peace!
