Medieval Party 2013 Review

Hey guys! Chill here yet again. Sorry I haven't been posting as much as I'd like to lately, I'll try to post more often. Anyway, let's get this review rolling!
Features
This party has a LOT of features. I'll start off with the main part of the party. There's a potion mixing game, where you bounce various ingredients to have them land into a cauldron. It's pretty simple and I could see Club Penguin turning this into a new permanent game, like maybe making sandwiches.
However you might be asking, "Why should I play this game other than to just play?". Well, once you mix the ingredients properly you'll be able to transform with a potion. Even if you mix them the wrong way, you'll still be able to transform, into the Puffle Chicken. To be honest the Puffle Chicken is one of my favorite transformations.
The potions have the following effects: transform you into a white puffle unicorn, make you bigger, transform you into a green puffle dragon, make your penguin invisible, transform you into a black puffle unicorn, transform you into a fairy, transform you into a blue puffle dragon, make you "hover", make you walk faster, and transform you into a dragon. In my opinion the hovering potion is super dumb, it only makes you sway from side to side without moving your feet. Nothing else.
The transformations are all pretty cool, like I said the Puffle Chicken is probably my favorite. I like the dragon puffles and the ultimate mega dragon a lot too, and the unicorn puffles are my least favorite. I don't like the fairy much so...
Last of all, Gary is visiting. It's kinda nice to see him again, but with that he misses the Halloween Party for the first time since he debuted in 2008, so that's a little disappointing.
Score: 4/5
 Decorations
Unfortunately, unlike other Medieval Parties, the Medieval Party 2013 is rather weak in this area. The only memorable design from before 2012 that you'll see here  is the Dance Club. The Town is reused from last year, and the Lighthouse and Royal Court from last year are recycled into "new" party rooms, the Wizard Library and the Dining Hall. However neither of these rooms have any point - not even a free item!
The new decorations are... meh. They're okay but they don't feel like they belong in a Medieval Party.
One major gripe I have is that TONS of iconic rooms from previous parties are missing decorations this year. The Beach, Beacon, Boiler Room, Book Room, Cave, Cove, Dance Lounge, Gift Shop, Lighthouse, Lodge Attic, Mine, Ski Hill, Ski Lodge, and Ski Village are all empty this year, and the Treetop Fort and all of the Knight's Quests are also gone.
Score: 2/5
Items
Ehhh... the items are okay. The party catalog has some very weird items. The best items are the knight armor set and the magic staff, and maybe the enchanted dragon wings and enchanted fairy stuff.
Also, there are barely any free items. The only free items you get besides Gary's background is a wizard outfit which isn't all that great...
Score: 2/5
Music
Now, don't get me wrong, I love the Medieval Party music, but it feels so... out of place. It feels like they took the previous songs, loaded them into a helicopter, and scattered them all over CP. Songs from the Knight's Quest plays at random locations. How does the song for a battle with a dragon fit at the Mine Shack? I could understand if it retained the old look it had from previous years, but it didn't.
Score: 3/5
Non-Member Friendliness
This is a new section I'd like to add starting with this party. How does it fare for non-members?
Let's start with features. They can play the potion game, however they can't use any transformations - not even the Puffle Chicken! However, both party rooms are accessible by all players. As far as items go, they can only get the hat from the wizard outfit and Gary's background. How can you go from almost everything being available to all players at Teen Beach to this?
Score: 2/5
Final Thoughts
To be honest, this party was "meh" at best. It was terrible compared to the other ones, and I think Club Penguin should've stuck with something from the older parties.
Final Score: 3/5

What did you guys think?

Chill is out, peace!
